The founding of Young Black Professionals and Businesses of Springfield and our Brick and Mortar Business Certificate initiative are featured in The Hub-Springfield's November 5, 2021 installment. One of the very first goals of YBPBS was to create a cohesive directory of Black-owned businesses in a way that supports the Black community collectively. This directory lists over 15 storefronts, more than 30 women owned businesses and 103 businesses to date in its third edition. In the coming months, we will continue to award Brick and Mortar Business Certificates to local Black-owned storefronts.
